Pinoy Artists gather to raise funds for Filipino Youths

 A former Pop Superstar and a local Fil-Am sensation joined the Kundinara in a series of shows in California to raise funds for Bahay Pag-asa, a De La Salle non-rehabilitation for Youthful offenders in the Philippines.

Singer performer Dingdong Avanzado, a dormer member of Kundinara vowed the crowd of mostly Filipino-Americans together with San Diego-based singer, Ashley Robles.

It’s the annual event of the Philippine American Cultural Society of San Diego twhich aims to raise funds for the completion of the Second Bahay Pag-asa Youth Center of Dasmariñas, Cavite.

Vice-President Yolanda Llavore said that rough times might not enable them to reach their target of getting $10 000 from the show’s proceed, but it is somehow related to how bad the economy in the US right now.

Furthermore, the organization was able to raise $7 000 for one concert which will be turned over to Bro. Gus Boquer, President of De La Salle Youth Artists Foundation, Inc.

Avanzado moved out to San Francisco together with his wife, Jessa Zaragosa who announced that they would soon launch a new album to be released in the Philippines.

At the concert, 5 young ladies of Filipino descent were presented to the public. This years Kundinara Princesses, who helped raise funds for the organization were Anne Marie Enriquez, Breana Spence, Denise Antonio Dicknite, Mariah Raizel Quillope and Kiana Nicole Benavente.

Kundinara will have shows in San Francisco and Los Angeles before they head home to the Philippines.
