Zanjoe Marudo has proven himself as an actor in ABS-CBN’s newest primetime soap, The Wedding. This was what the show’s directors Mae Cruz and Jeffrey Jeturian said about the actor-model. “Si Zanjoe marunong na umarte.” “Unang-una po nagpapasalamat po ako at masaya po ako na napupuri po ako ng mga director namin, kasi dati hindi.” Zanjoe jokingly said. “Kasi pag napuri ka ni Mae Cruz at ni Jeffrey Jeturian, it means a lot.”
According to Zanjoe, his co-stars Anne Curtis and Derek Ramsay are the reason for his improved acting skills. “Kung napupuri man ako, hindi lang naman din dahil sa akin yon, dahil din sa mga kasama ko kasi magagaling sila, tinutulungan nila ako, tsaka masaya talaga kami magkakatrabaho,” he added.
Moreover, Zanjoe always feels inspired to work with a leading lady like Anne. “Gusto ko lagi mabigyan ng pagkakataon na si Anne ang makatrabaho ko kasi napakabait, susuportahan ka, magaling, maganda, sexy pa. Basta pagdating sa leading lady lagi number one si Anne.”
In The Wedding, Zanjoe plays Marlon Manalac, a worker in Candice’s (Anne) family’s construction firm. Marlon gets trapped in Candice’s plans and will eventually fall for her. “Light lang yung story pero may kirot sa puso. Nakakarelate ako sa role ko, kay Marlon, kasi pinagsisikapan niya lahat ng gusto niya marating sa buhay, galing siya sa hirap, at tunay magmahal, just like me.”

Despite everything, Erich is still looking radiant and one would probably think that her co-star Xian Lim is the reason behind it. But just when it seemed that their closeness at the Katorse set is turning into a full-blown romance, Erich reveals that they have decided to be just friends for now. She also denies the rumors saying that they have actually become girlfriend-boyfriend. “No, we have an agreement that we’ll just be like this. We’ll just focus on our work. And just friends for now.” Xian has been very vocal about courting her a month ago. “It’s not busted. We had a good conversation about this matter (romantic feelings for each other). Its much better in this way beause its hard to study and work and then love life. Not now,” she stresses.
Piolo admits courting KC

Piolo Pascual admitted that he had once courted KC Concepcion years ago during a press con. “I courted her. It was long ago,” Piolo revealed. But the ultimate heartthrob was reluctant to reveal this since people might misinterpret his motives. “The reason why I am like this is that I want to protect [what we have] since we are so public and we are coming out in Lovers in Paris. People might say I’m using it for promo, so for me, whatever personal thing that we have, we want to keep it to ourselves,” Piolo explained.
Piolo said that he’s a traditional kind of suitor, going about courtship the old fashioned way. “I’m courting formally. I’m only giving flowers, not chocolates coz its fatty,” he laughed. He also mentioned that he had asked permission from KC’s parents before actually courting her. (He calls Sen. Kiko Pangilinan “sir.”)
Piolo and KC won’t be seeing each other for a while since KC is still out of the country and Piolo has to leave for Star Magic Tour this week. Once both of them are in Manila, they will continue to tape Lovers in Paris.

“It’s too fresh, there’s no possibility in myself to jump into another relationship,” John Lloyd Cruz’ answer to the question if he is in love right now after her split up on Liz Uy and is link to the host-actress Ruffa Gutierrez. But he said that these were just rumors and are absolutely not true.
The actor admitted that he is now in the state of finding his self through all the happenings. But he remained silent about the real reason of his break-up with Liz. He defended that Liz is not really a showbiz personality and he doesn’t want her name to be acquainted on any intrigues. He even said that he was very affected about the break-up.
“Imagine saying goodbye to the most beautiful, to the most influential… there’s so many words that I could use to describe her and what we had,” John Lloyd said. “I think what I feel was beyond pain. It’s something that you didn’t want or its one thing you want to happen.”
The actor even said there is no truth on the accusations that Sarah Geronimo and Ruffa were the reasons of their split up. He asked forgiveness to Sarah and to her family because they were also affected to the issues. “I wasn’t in the place to cause…for them to be affected at that wya,” the actor added.
To the question if he is in love right now, “I will always say (that) when love happens to a person you have no choice. It wouldn’t be in your hands anymore, you’ll just give-in. But there are few exemptions. Of course even though you say it as a man, there would also be certain values we’re protecting. There are important persons to me and that values must exist,” he briefly stated.

Actress Bea Alonzo admitted that she initially got alarmed when she learned that photos showing her clad in a bikini from her upcoming movie, And I Love You So, got published for fear that this might pre-empt her latest film project.
“I’m not angry. I was just shocked that it went out coz I had no idea and I was scared that my scenes on two-piece would be pre-empted. So far, there are no violent reactions from the people. I just didn’t expect that it would come out,” explained Bea.
True enough, those who have seen the photos expressed positive feedback on Bea’s better and sexier physique. “I’m working on reinventing myself again,” she explained. “Maybe its a different Bea you’ll see in the movie. I want to become a woman so that I could offer new things to people.”
It was actually her mentor, director Laurenti Dyogi, who motivated her to work on her weight. Bea shared that Direk Lauren would tease her everyday and succeeded in sending the message across. For her diet, Bea has cut on the carbohydrates but eats meat for protein. She also attends yoga classes regularly and is planning to enroll in dance classes to help her tone her muscles.
Giselle gave birth to a baby boy

Actress-comedianne Giselle Sanchez welcomes her healthy baby boy. She gave birth at UERM Memorial Hospital.
“I did it. Yes, it had been difficult for me, but I did it,” Sanchez said.
The baby boy, named Xavier Zappa, weighed 6.7 lbs, according to Emil Buencamino — Giselle’s husband.
Buencamino said Xavier really looks like his mom. “During her labor, I was even misty eyed. And of course, I’m afraid for Giselle’s safety,” Emil stated.

Ruffa respect Lloydie more as a person

Ruffa Gutierrez commended John Lloyd for clearing her name from rumors telling that she was the cause of the actor’s recent breakup with stylist Liz Uy. Ruffa said that the actor proved that he is a true gentleman because of what he did. “I respect him more even like as a person. Without even me telling him what to say, he just volunteered and defended me and Sarah G. And he said that we really had nothing to do with the break up,” said Ruffa. She also praised John Lloyd for going out of his way to say that she is not the type of girl who would steal someone else’s boyfriend. “Thank you very much, at least, he defended me,” Ruffa said. “JL is also secure as a person. Maybe his status in the industry, too. He doesn’t need to ride on someone (for publicity).”
Ruffa though found herself in the hot seat when co-hosts Kris Aquino and Boy Abunda insinuated that there is nothing wrong with being linked to John Lloyd since they are both eligible. Kris also asked Ruffa if Lloydie is still keeping in touch with her long after I Love Betty La Fea ended. “All of them is still communicating with me, not just John Lloyd,” Ruffa reasoned out. “I don’t know if he makes an effort but we still all communicate. There’s nothing strange about it. At least he still doesn’t have a wife,” Ruffa quipped.
Kris also explained that from her point of view, people nowadays are more open-minded and that they don’t seem to mind if Ruffa and John Lloyd be linked romantically. It was also at that point that Kris openly declared that Ruffa seemed “stressed” with the topic because she was perspiring too much and rashes appeared just below her neck. Kris pushed it further when she revealed that John Lloyd and Ruffa have the same birthday, which is June 24, and disclosed that the two will be in the United States at the same time this June. “You’re going to be in America at the same time. John Lloyd said he will be celebrating his birthday in States because of the Star Magic tour. Then you (Ruffa) are also there,” Kris said.
Ruffa on the other hand, stood her ground, emphasizing that what matters more to her is that her name has been cleared from the “third-party rumor” and that she doesn’t know what the future holds with regards to her love life.
