Commercial model-actress Maricar Reyes resumes her acting career after a controversy with her biggest showbiz breaks so far. She currently has two projects lined up: a guest spot in the leading primetime teleserye May Bukas Pa and her first lead role in Your Song Presents. The 25-year-old aspiring actress is focusing on her career rather than using up her energy dealing with controversies. In her upcoming appearance in May Bukas Pa, Maricar plays the role of a taong-grasa. The writers of the teleserye said that Maricar’s story will be something to look forward to since it showcases her promising acting skills.

Aside from her appearance in May Bukas Pa, Maricar will also top-bill Your Song Presents: Gaano Kita Kamahal. She will play the role of a piano teacher who dreams of making a name for herself but finds that love has gotten in the way. Jodi Sta. Maria, Sid Lucero, Boom Labrusca, Bettina Carlos, and Quintin Alianza co-star with Maricar in the series.

Maricar had assumed a low profile when rumors about her involvement in a controversy surfaced. There were even speculations that she had already left for the US. She surprised fans and media alike when she re-emerged last June 21 to take part in the Star Magic Anniversary presentation on ASAP.
