One of the best new breed of actors today is the oldest son of Mark Gil on the latter model-turned-actress Bing Pimentel and lead star of digital movie na Astig who is Sid Lucero. He had so many awards from local to international film competitions. But Sid admitted that there was a great pressure on him being an Eigenmann when he decided to enter showbiz. “One thing that helps me handle it was changing my name right? But then, after a while, it still doesn’t work because I look so much like my Dad. And lot of people see my Dad in me. And I just don’t mind about it. Before it affects me a lot. But I just try to face the fact that he has his own shoe and I have my own,” Sid said.

Sid is now busy on his new show on ABS-CBN, the Your Song Presents Gaano Kita Kamahal that started last Sunday with Maricar Reyes and Jodi Santamraia. On working with the controversial new artist of Star Magic, was he impressed with her acting talent? “Yeah, I’m very surprised. It seems that she’s very comfortable already with the camera. I think it’s because of her experience sa commercial. But more than that I look up her as a great person. I’m really impressed by how she’s handling everything,” Sid talking about the challenge she’d been through. “She’s awesome. She’s great. Maricar is a good companion and I’m happy with her on the set.”

Sid admits Maricar is pretty but there is no attraction between them in real life coz the actor had already a long-time girlfriend. “No, I have a girlfriend. We’re on our fifth year. Her name is Rosy (Laurel) Delgado.”
