I’ve no regrets being a young mother, Eda Nolan said

Since Eda Nolan is part of Katorse, whose main character becomes a teenage mother, ABS-CBN.com couldn’t help but ask her about her own experiences as a young mother (Eda gave birth at the age of 17.) Eda admitted that she was so confused when she first learned that she was pregnant, but said that abortion was never an option.

“I broke int tears. I was afraid on what’s the next thing I’m supposed to do. Of course, I had no idea, I’m not ready. How’s it gonna be, its already here. I can’t abort it. I really thought the feelings of my mother, of my family. Then I told Gian Carlos (her boyfriend and the father of her baby) then we cried.”

Aside from her baby, Gian’s love is what inspires her everyday. “Gian’s super supportive. I’ve proven that we really love each other despite what happened. He really told me that he loves me more now. It was difficult when I got pregnant but when we lived-in our relationship becomes stronger. Super happy like now I’m working and when I arrived home I know she’s there.”

Eda said that they are emotionally ready to get married, but they still have to become financially stable first.

One thing that she is proud of is that she is a responsible mom and she does not depend financially on her parents. “I won’t allow my daddy and mommy to be put on a difficult situation. We’re renting, we’re paying our bills and we’re not depending on our parents.”

She admits that sometimes she feels sad when she looks back on the opportunities she missed when she got pregnant, but said that being a mother is the most special purpose of her life now. “I’m super happy right now coz I learned that what will you do with all your success in life when there’s no one you’re loving and loving you.”

She also feels blessed she’s part of ABS-CBN family. “In fairness  on ABS-CBN, they never left me alone. After I gave birth, I did Dragonna then Shake Rattle and Roll so I also had a lot of projects then now Katorse. And I even guested on Dahil May Isang Ikaw.”
