Maja Salvador: “I’m flattered that Sam Milby finds me attractive”

Inspite Maja Salvador’s previous statement that she and Sam Milby never went out on a romantic date, she eventually revealed that they did hang out once with her family during the Star Magic World Concert Tour in the US last July. Apparently, the young actress withheld that information at first because she didn’t want to fuel the rumors between them by talking about an innocent group excursion. “Coz the way they questioned me last time, it’s if we dated. So of course, its not like that. It would be so shameful if I’ve said ‘Oh yes!’ ’Its not good right? We just hang-out with friends together with my cousins and my momski,just that. And in Star Magic we’re all super close and Sam is my friend too, so there’s nothing wrong with it,” she explained during the press con of Nagsimula sa Puso last September 16, Wednesday.
Host/talent manager Boy Abunda has said that a very reliable source informed him that Sam has a huge crush on Maja, which is why it’s not impossible for them to have a brewing romance. Maja just said she was just flattered that Sam finds her attractive. “I’m very lucky coz of so many girls, of so many beautiful and sexy actresses here in ABS-CBN, Mr. Sam Milby got a crush on me. What could I say to him? ‘Thank you, coz you admire me.’ In fairness, I also admire Sam coz he’s a very good actor. But with the idea that we have something, there’s really nothing. We’re friends. Maybe some people misunderstood it,” she reiterated.
Given the chance though, Maja admitted that she would welcome Sam as a suitor if he decides to pursue her. “Why not? If ever he courts, that’s the quetsion. But maybe Sam misinterpreted me when I say I got intimated over him [dcoz he's big star]. Its like I’m joking, ‘Wow! Sam Milby-Maja Salvador?’ I just can’t imagine a Sam Milby would got a crush on me. I would be so lucky if ever,” she explained. Since it’s important that her suitors get her family’s approval, does she think Sam can win them over as well? “There’s no problem with my family, for them to know the person and bond with him is enough for them. When my cousins had been with Sam during the tour, they just really have fun together. Coz Sam is like a kid.”

Queen of Talk Kris Aquino drew criticism after she said that she preferred that brother Senator Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III remain single on an episode of Showbiz News Ngayon. After apologizing to her brother for airing her opinion, she promised that she would no longer make a comment about his love life in public, but said she would continue to support her brother whatever he should decide. “Whatever could make him happy, I’ll give my 100% support and if he wants I’ll pay-off his wedding,” Kris said during an interview with TV Patrol.
Kris is in charge of her brother’s image makeover. “Paul Cabral is the one who’s making Noy’s barong right now. JC Beundia’s in charge of his suits and tshirts then Ivarluski Aseron and Joey Samson, all those who dress-up Boy (Abunda).”
Among her siblings, it is Kris who is strongly supportive of Senator Noynoy’s political career. “Because mom is not here, we have to be there for each other. So if this is what’s being asked from us, then as a family we will be united.” Kris said she is trying to talk her sisters through it.
In the event that Noynoy will become the president, Kris was asked if she would be willing to become the ‘first sister.’ “No, he deserves to have a first lady.”
The Aquino Family will be commemorating the 40th day after the death of President Cory Aquino on September 9, the same day Senator Noynoy announces his political plans. On Thursday, Kris will be going on a 10-day vacation in Hawaii with her husband James Yap and two kids, Joshua and Baby James.

Actress-model Maja Salvador arrived at the press con of her new teleserye Nagsimula Sa Puso last September 16 in a red designer dress with a deep neckline which showed a lot more skin than usual. “I wasn’t changed so much. I’m still sweet. Just sexyier, something bolder. Its just like I want to let people see that Maja is already a womn coz I’m turning 21. And I’m ready to do whatever projects ABS-CBN would give me,” she began.
The actress said that she didn’t have to be convinced to be more daring for her launching project because she immediately fell in love with the script and the challenges that came with it. ”I know I’ll enjoy coz I really love and value my work,” she added.
While her fellow young stars like Kim Chiu who shot her first love scene with Gerald Anderson recently in Tayong Dalawa and Erich Gonzales who was paired with Ejay Falcon in Katorse have taken on more mature roles, Maja said that she will be offering something different. “Erich is sexy but because ‘Katorse’ she still looks like a teenager. While Kim as Audrey in Tayong Dalawa, anyhow she’s doing a mature job. But on me, you’ll also see a different Maja coz I’m a young college professor here.” Maja is also set on getting the same success that Kim and Erich have in their respective teleseryes. “If it needs to be competition, go! I’m gonna shine,” she joked.
She further shared how overwhelmed she was to be working with award-winning actors such as Jason Abalos and Coco Martin. In the story, Jason plays her childhood sweetheart while Coco is the student with whom she starts a forbidden relationship. The actress said she has already shot her first love scenes with both actors, something she describes as an unforgettable experience.
Maja Slavador has no regrets about the long wait she had to undergo before getting her launching project. “This is the launching which I’ve waited for. On Annaliza and Moonriver, I was sad when they were not resumed but I just think that it was not yet the one for me and there’s something coming out for me. When Nagsimula Sa Puso was given to me, I was really super happy coz ABS-CBN had really taken care of me and the business unit of Sir Deo (Endrinal). They were saying to me that this is the show that I’ve been waiting for, so we’ll give it to you. So I promised myself that I will do my best to bring them back the honor and so that they would still trust me,” she beamed.
Coco Martin has slowly recovered from his accident..

Actor Coco Martin is now feeling better after suffering an injury during the taping of the teleserye Tayong Dalawa last September 15. Coco was rushed to the University of Sto. Tomas hospital after suffering minor burns on the left side of his face and his eye when an action scene he was doing for the teleserye got out of hand. He was later sent home after receiving treatment. According to ABS-CBN News, Coco went to an eye surgeon during the morning of September 16 to have his eye checked. The actor also consulted a dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon about the burns on his face.
Coco was in the middle of doing a gunfight scene for Tayong Dalawa when a special effect meant to simulate a bullet hit on his left arm got too close on his left eye. Powder got onto his face and into his eye, causing the actor to immediately fall to the floor in pain. The crew and co-star Jake Cuenca rushed to his aid and brought him to the hospital. After receiving treatment and undergoing some tests, Coco was advised to go home to rest and recover.
The young actor sent a text message to ABS-CBN News expressing his thanks to everyone who prayed for his recovery. Coco also said that he will try his best to get back to work as soon as possible, especially since Tayong Dalawa is set to end on September 25. The actor is also taping for a new teleserye with Maja Salvador entitled Nagsimula sa Puso.
Star Magic’s biggest stars to gather at the Araneta Coliseum

Yesterday, ABS-CBN Star Magic formally announced that the Star Magic World Concert Tour is going to be staged here in Manila at the Araneta Coliseum before the end of the year. Star Magic will again gather its biggest stars to give an unforgettable night of entertainment to all.
Last July, Star Magic staged very successful shows in various concert venues in California. Not only did Kapamilyas in the US see their favorite ASAP stars perform, they were also able to see and meet top teleserye stars like Piolo Pascual, Claudine Barretto, Diether Ocampo, Sam Milby, John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo.

Sam Milby is very happy for John Lloyd Cruz and Luis Manzano for their upcoming movie, In My Life, which opens in theaters on September 16. He said that he was impressed when he caught the trailer of this highly anticipated movie during the premiere night of And I Love You So, Sam’s movie with Bea Alonzo and Derek Ramsay.
“Looks like its nice and I will definitely watch it,” he said excitedly. He further explained that he is not bothered about the controversial kissing scene between the two actors. “I respect them for doing that and excited for them. They told me it’s a [good] movie, and you won’t really even notice it (the kissing scene). It’s not something like Brokeback Mountain, it’s not just a story of two gay lovers. It does not revolve around that,” Sam replied.
Sam is also hoping that Piolo Pascual will get to play Ninoy Aquino if plans to do a movie about the hero pushes through. “He is a very good actor and I think he can pull it off,” he explained. Although the Fil-Am actor believes that Piolo can do justice to the role, he clarified that he is also certain that Cesar Montano, another strong contender for the Ninoy movie, can also play the role as well. “I think both of them are good contenders. But I’m sure either of them would be able to pull it off,” he answered.
Cristine Reyes: ‘I’ve realized its fun to be single’

Its like Cristine Reyes had regained the momentum of her career, coz lately she signed her contract once again with ABS-CBN and presently featured on Your Song Presents: Babalik Kang Muli. Beside this, she’s also doing a movie with Richard Gutierrez.
Even with her blooming career, she has no love life as of the moment. But then, Cristine said that she’s happy eventhough she’s single. “I’ve realized its fun to be single coz last time I really felt sad having no one to be there for you,” she said.
Cristine’s previous boyfriend was Dennis Trillo. And currently Dennis is linked to Pauleen Luna but Cristine said she’s no longer affected. “I’m okay. At least I already moved on and there’s really nothing left. I’m very happy right now,” the actress said.
According to Cristine, she’s dating right now but she prefers to have a group date.
Bea Alonzo: I’m a stronger person because of my critics..

During the recent Star Magic Ball, Bea Alonzo impressed a lot of people with her slimmer figure, which was clad in a body-hugging Francis Libiran creation that night. Thanks to her strict diet and exercise program, the 23-year-old actress looked sexier as she hosted the event with John Lloyd Cruz and Piolo Pascual. Bea was also glowing because her movie And I Love You So did well despite the difficulties they had with the screenings. “I am really, really happy. It was by then that I’ve proven that Lord is really good. My faith become stronger and I’ve known how many people loved me,” she began.
And since her constant screen partner John Lloyd has made blockbuster hits with Sarah Geronimo, Bea felt the pressure to bring in the same results. But with the good reviews and praises that she has been reaping, Bea feels that the scary part of her movie venture is finally over. “I try not to worry anymore. Its like I’m already believing in estiny. I’ve realized that how matter bad or hard the situation is, there’s always something good that can come out of it.”
Bea’s looking forward to working with John Lloyd again, knowing that she would be able to share her newfound lessons and experiences as an artist with him. “Its nice to think that I’m no longer shy to be paired to him once again coz he already had many success and now I already have too. That is just my goal,” she shared.
Bea was very grateful to all the people who made her success possible. “I’m of course thankful to God coz He’s always the one I’m counting to every time. And then my family, they made me see that I’m just a human that could also make mistakes. And of courese my daddy and mommy in Star Magic, Mr. M (Johnny Manahan) and Ms. Mariole Alberto. Direk Lauren (Dyogi), he is the one who taught me how to act…and there’s so many more. I think I need to thank all those I’ve worked with and even those who had given me hard times coz they’re that reason why I’m stronger now,” she concluded.
Dionne Monsanto and Alex Anselmuccio admitted they broke up..

On the Star Magic Ball last August 30, Dionne Monsanto and Alex Anselmuccio confirmed in separate interviews with ABS-CBN.com that they have already broken up after nine months of being together. Dionne said that they each reached the point where their relationship was no longer a priority. “We didn’t have time for each other. He has his soccer thing and work while I have tapings and I also wanted to spend more time with my family.”
When asked if their age gap was also a factor since Alex is four years her junior, the 23-year-old actress replied no. “It has never been a problem for us because he’s very mature for his age. It was just time. It was a mutual decision and we parted on good terms a month ago. In fact, I just did his makeup for tonight,” she shared.
Alex, on the other hand revealed, that he and Dionne didn’t get along anymore and that their personal differences caught up with them in the end. “She’s right when she said that it’s not the age gap because it doesn’t really matter in a relationship. We were just fighting too much about small things like I am so forgetful and other stuff. It’s not the first time we broke up. We used to break up once or twice but that was definitely the last one,” he recalled. But he agreed that it was a tough decision to make because they still have feelings for each other. “I have a feeling that we could still be lovers again in the future. But right now, I would prefer to have my own time and if ever, I would really think over before getting into a new relationship,” he stated.
Sandara Park and Lee Minho have a kissing scene for a new commercial..
Last week, it was said that Sandara Park made a commercial for an alcoholic drink in South Korea with Lee Minho who is known as Goo Jun Pyo in Boys Over Flowers. Now, there are recent details about the said commercial, and one of those is the kissing scene between the two of them.
Through the exchange of text messages by ABS-CBN.com to Sandara, now known as Dara who is a member of all-female sing group which is 2NE1, she doesn’t want to give further details about her said kissing scene with the Korean heartthrob and said that its needed to watch the upcoming airing of the commercial which is also like a music video.
Sandara had first known and befriended Koo Hye Sun o Geum Jan Di of BOF coz they have the same management company, YG Entertainment.
