Angel Locsin, reluctant to star in Kokey @ Ako?

So fresh from the 37th international Emmy Awards in New York, actress-model Angel Locsin attended the story conference for her upcoming teleserye Kokey @ Ako. A lot of people were actually surprised that she accepted to do the fantaserye right after her Emmy nomination when she could be doing another drama that could earn international acclaim.
“I’m not saying that I’m not choosing what roles I wanna play. Of course coz I’m already about eight years in the industry, I don’t want to act the same roles for me to be trained more. Coz of course, acting is also a learning experience. You doesn’t want to be stucked in one aspect only,” she began.
After some consideration, Angel said she believes that being a part of Kokey @ Ako would actually give her the chance to become a well-rounded actress. “At first I thought it’s just “kokey-kokey only”. But we’ve talked about some things and Kokey is a very interesting story. Then, they explained that it’s not just any ordinary fantasy show, it has an (environmental) cause so I grabbed it. You could learn many things here,” she explained.
Angel Locsin will be playing the role of Jackie, a news reporter who will eventually be involved in Kokey’s search for his lost baby sister as well a mission to save earthlings from a new set of evil aliens. “I’m happy coz its been a while I’m not on tv. And I’m excited coz almost of my shows were for kids and now back to kids again. And its my first time to work with Direk Lauren (Dyogi) who’s our business unit head, Direk Wenn Deramas, and Vhong (Navarro) kthat’s why we’re really looking forward to it,” she stressed.
The cast of Kokey @ Ako start taping on December 15 in time for the show’s premiere in January 2010. Since it was also announced during the meeting that it would be replacing the slot of the top-rating teleserye May Bukas Pa on Primetime Bida, ABS-CBN.com asked Angel how she feels about such a big responsibility on their end. “Yes. Almost all starting shows always have so much pressure . But for me its healthy. If you doesn’t feel any pressure, its like you’re not concerned with your show. Besides you can use it to be more diligent and beautify your show as well as all the things you’re doing,” she stated.

As Manny Pacquiao return to the country, people are abuzz to hear him answer questions regarding his rumored relationship with actress Krista Ranillo. Rumors of Manny’s alleged relationship with the sexy star further intensified when Pacman’s wife, Jinkee, cried buckets during a thanksgiving mass in Las Vegas, Nevada. Jinkee and Manny also arrived at the LAX airport yesterday separately. When the press asked Manny’s mother, Dionisia, about Jinkee’s display of emotions during the mass, her only words were, “Of course, she went emotional as her husband won the fight..”
After videos of Manny talking to a woman inside a car after his appearance on the Jimmy Kimmel Show surfaced on online sites, pictures of the boxer with Krista in Baguio have also started to spread on the Internet. The pictures were supposedly taken during Manny’s training for the Cotto fight in the City of Pines last September. The two have reportedly gotten close during their shooting for Manny’s Metro Manila Film Festival entry Wapakman where Krista plays one of his leading ladies.
On the other hand, Jinkee’s family in Sarangani couldn’t help but express their disappointment towards the People’s Champ although they have yet to talk to Jinkee about the issue. “As a mother of course I was hurt, people have really lots of rumors, maybe they’re the ones to decide about that matter,” Rosalina Jamora, Jinkee’s mom commented. She added that she hopes Krista will be wise enough to steer clear from trouble. “I hope they know that the man already has a family, I hope thaty’re the ones to avoid.” Jinkee’s dad, Nestor Jamora, also revealed that he now has no intention to support Manny’s upcoming movie because of his rumored involvement with Krista. Also he said this might affect Manny’s decision to run for Congress this coming 2010.

Jinkee Pacquaio sent a meaningful text message to The Buzz host Kris Aquino about the continous intrigues that there is something going on between the boxing champ Manny Pacquiao and actress Krista Ranillo. It was when Kris texted Jinkee about the fight of Manny to Miguel Cotto last week and Jinkee replied saying she will be talking to Manny after the fight. There is more about the text message but Kris refused to tell it. “I think its too private to share,” Kris stated.
Also one showbiz columnist reported that when Manny was giving out relief goods to Ondoy’s victim, Krista is sticking with him and even her father Matt Ranillo III. There was also written reports that during Manny’s training Krista was also there. It was also confirmed by Krista’s manager who is Arnold Vegafria that Krista went to Las Vegas to support Manny and that because the two have become close friends. Krista was also with her family.
Last week, Mommy Dionisia pointed out that there’s no truth behind Manny’s linkage to any actresses. The issue about the affair of Manny and Krista become more talked when Gina Alajar posted on her Facebook account that “If I am Jinky Pacquiao, I will not give up Manny. Krista Ranillo is not all worth it!!!” Way back then, Krista was also being linked with Gina’s ex-husband Michael de Mesa.

The tandem of Comedy Queen na si Ai-ai delas Alas and new actress Pacmom Dionisia Pacquiao was very funny on the trailer on the latest movie of Star Cinema the Ang Tanging Pamilya: A Marry Go Round on the direction of Wenn Deramas. “Aling Dionisia was really funny . Even her actions were very funny,” Ai-ai begun. Mommy Dionisia is indeed a new comer to the world of showbiz so she really needs patience on some scenes. “I’m helping her. I’m guiding her, too. I told her, ‘Mommy D, this is what you’ll gonna do.’ Yup, I’m teaching her on the set. Which she’s also doing.”
Besides Mommy D, it was a first for Ai-ai to be with the legendary action king and ex-President Joseph ‘Erap’ Estrada on a movie. “When I was still dubbing for our movie, every time Erap goes out of the screen I can see that it was really something. That’s why with Erap alone, audience would be already solve. It was really a novelty to watch him again onscreen. That’s why I’m really happy with our movie. I haven’t just worked with him but we also have a kissing scene. My kissing scene with Papa Erap on the wedding scene. But it was just very, very light.” They also have bed scene. “Bed scene as in we have a bed-conversation. But I have many bold scenes, two very intimate. The one was on the opening and the other is on the middle part. It was very different on my past movies with Direk Wenn,” Ai-ai boasted.
But Direk Wenn and Ai consider a different lucky charm everytime they make a movie together. “Every movie, Direk Wenn really likes me to have a ‘panty scene’. On our eight movies with Direk Wenn, he had also taken me eight times wearing a panty. It is different every movie. A panty that’s dull. My legs are visible. So if Mother Lily has a magic kamison, Direk Wenn and I has a magic panty,” Ai-ai laughingly said.

On one article of the famous columnist who is Ricky Lo, he shared the news about the separation of action star Robin Padilla and wife Liezl Sicangco. According to him, the two are already separated for two years and presently remaining as good friends.
Robin remained quiet about the real reasons of their separation; but the columnist insisted that 3rd party isn’t the reason of Robin and Liezl’s separation. Apparently, they separated nicely so up to this point they have a good communication. And regarding their 4 kids, they had accepted it well.
As for now, Liezl is currently living in Australia together with her new husband; and on November 23, Liezl and their kids will go back in Philippines to celebrate Robin’s 40th birthday.

Actress-singer-host Toni Gonzaga finally agrees to do a kissing scene. She shot it for her latest movie, The Tanging Pamilya, which also stars former president Joseph Estrada, Ai-Ai de las Alas, and her leading man Sam Milby. She revealed that it took a lot of convincing before she finally agreed to do the kiss. “I’m not really doing kissing scenes, but they told me, Ms. Malou Santos (Star Cinema managing director) (and people from) Star Cinema, ‘Hija you’re already 25 (years old).’ You’re a grown-up,” Toni shyly recalled.
The actress explained that she finally said yes since her veteran co-stars, Erap and Ai-Ai, did not complain about having to do a kissing scene themselves. Toni also said that the kiss was necessary since she and Sam were supposed to portray newlyweds.
However, she appeared uncomfortable when press people asked how she felt when she and Sam had to kiss for the camera. “I want to end it soon,” Toni said with a laugh. “Coz I’m not comfortable. Coz there’s a lot of people. There’s so many cellphones, many were taking pictures.“ She said that they had to re-shoot the wedding scene because during the first take, she and Sam were only made to look as if they had kissed. “Coz usually my kissing scenes is really fake, even with Sam. It was repeated that’s why we had a one-day shoot. It was a big factor for me to consider kissing scene on a movie. It really took me how many people to really convince me. But right now, that’s the farthest I can go, [a] smack.” Toni also made it clear that while future projects might require her to do more kissing scenes, she won’t be doing anything be torrid. “I’m not allowed to go daring,” she said.
The actress clarified that she has no regrets about doing the kissing scene, but admitted that she felt uneasy since it was her first time. “I was really afraid coz it wasn’t a usual thing for me .” Although she informed her boyfriend Paul Soriano about the scene, Toni clarified that she did not need to seek his approval. “He knows about it. He wasn’t also having words about work. That is separate. He really knows it.”

During the last interview with her about the planned biopic of her late mother ex-President Cory Aquino, Kris Aquino happily shared how she really wants Kim Chiu to play her role. As Kris says, the young actress fits very well to play her part during her younger years because not just she admires her being an actress but also the lady got some of her prominent physical attributes, specifically her eyes.
Even this is the personal statement of Kris, there is some members of the press said that actress Anne Curtis fits more on the said role. Just as they said, the character truly fits Anne because her aura as is speaks so much of Kris’ bubbly personality.
On a short interview with SNN, Anne reacted on the issue. Anne was said to be truly flattered on the said comment, and on a more personal note, she adds that she also spotted some similarities with Kris that’s maybe the reason why those were the comments of other press people. Some of her said similarities with the ‘Queen of Talk Show’ was being “kikay”, “makulit” and as she puts it, “not so graceful.” She also added, “Personality wise maybe, that’s where we match.” And regarding of Kris choosing Kim over her, Anne gladly exclaims she has no hatred or anything against her Ate Kris.

Arising comedienne Dionisia Pacquiao’s solo press conference for her launching movie Ang Tanging Pamilya was so jam-packed with her separate media session. But Mommy Dionisia, as she is called by most people, quickly clarified that the separate session wasn’t intentional on her part. “Of course Ai-Ai is just here (in Manila). I launched my presscon first coz I have an appointment. I had to do it now because I’ll be flying off to U.S. I’ll just finish this premiere night then I’ll go there to support my son,” the 60-year-old mom of pound-for-pound boxing champ Manny Pacquiao said.
As of all the projects that were offered to her, Mommy Dionisia claimed that Ang Tanging Pamilya was the only film that she agreed to be a part of because she couldn’t pass up the opportunity to work with Comedy Queen Ai-Ai de las Alas and ex-President Joseph Estrada. She never expected that she would become an instant star someday and her son couldn’t be happier about the opportunities coming her way.
As a final note, she invited everyone to watch Ang Tanging Pamilya because of the hilarious scenes she said audiences shouldn’t miss. “They supported me, Ai-Ai, Erap, and Direk Wenn (Deramas). They said ‘natural na natural ang acting mo nanay’ . So I hope all of you will support our movie showing on November 11,” she stated.
