NEW DELHI: Bank shares were trading on a mixed note in Friday’s morning session.
Shares of IDFC First BankNSE 5.76 % (up 5.19 per cent) , YES Bank (up 4.71 per cent) , Bank of BarodaNSE -1.41 % (up 0.56 per cent) and Axis Bank (up 0.37 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While ICICI Bank (down 1.06 per cent ) , Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 1.01 per cent ) , State Bank of India (down 0.89 per cent ) and HDFC Bank (down 0.64 per cent ) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.38 per cent down at 32,001.35 around 09:50 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 48.90 points at 12,102.25, while the BSE Sensex was down 204.56 points at 40,925.61.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 23 were trading in the green, while 27 were in the red.
Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, IDFC First Bank, Bharti Infratel, L&T Fin Holding, Bank of Baroda, Zee Ent., SAIL and NBCC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
