Share market update: Bank shares slip; Bank of Baroda down 2%

NEW DELHI: Bank shares were trading with losses in Friday’s morning session.

Shares of Bank of Baroda (down 1.96 per cent) , Punjab National Bank (down 1.65 per cent) , RBL BANKNSE -3.23 % (down 1.31 per cent) , HDFC Bank (down 1.02 per cent) , IndusInd Bank (down 0.77 per cent) , IDFC BANK (down 0.76 per cent) , Federal Bank (down 0.76 per cent) , Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 0.7 per cent) , State Bank of India (down 0.66 per cent) , Axis Bank (down 0.55 per cent) and ICICI Bank (down 0.54 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.75 per cent down at 32201.25 around 09:53 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 38.40 points at 12243.8 , while the BSE Sensex was down 103.87 points at 41,522.77.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 11 were trading in the green, while 39 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, ONGC, GAIL, Tata Motors, SAIL, SBI, Bank of Baroda and Hind Copper were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
