NEW DELHI: Bank shares were trading with losses in Monday’s morning session.
Shares of Bank of BarodaNSE -2.97 % (down 2.91 per cent), Yes Bank (down 2.77 per cent), Punjab National Bank (down 1.69 per cent), Federal Bank (down 1.3 per cent), HDFC Bank (down 1.22 per cent), Axis Bank (down 1.13 per cent) and State Bank of India (down 0.58 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty Bank index was trading 0.27 per cent down at 29741.5 around 09:55 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 16.50 points at 11645.35 , while the BSE Sensex was up 24.53 points at 39760.06 .
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 27 were trading in the green, while 23 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, ITC, Tata Motors, SBI, SAIL, Bank of Baroda, Indian Oil Corp and BEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
